This review covers two three day visits to the Hotel Opera in April and May 2024, separated by a weekend in Extremadura. The hotel’s location is excellent being a few minutes walk from the Opera Metro Station and the Cathedral and Royal Palace and then within half an hour’s walking distance of the main sites. We stayed on the seventh and first floor. On both occasions there was little internal noise and external noise was limited when the windows were closed. The rooms were clean and comfortable and all appliances worked. The hotel booked taxis for us to the airport and Atocha station, all of which arrived at the designated time. The hotel also provided a packed breakfast on the day we took a tour to Avila and Segovia, the starting time for which was before the breakfast time.

This was a short stay at the end of a long trip, mainly for easy access to the Madrid airport for itinerary reasons. The hotel is well-located, within walking distance of major attraction, and a central tourist area with many restaurants and other things. It has an on-site restaurant with good choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a pretty typical mid-range hotel in a large European city. There is not a lot of extra space. This hotel had a very nice sitting area where you could go for an afternoon glass of wine. It is somewhere I would return, as it is a great location.

Hotel Ópera is a wonderful hotel for visiting Madrid. The location is excellent. The hotel is next to the Teatro Real, a block away from the Palacio Real and its gardens, and a nice stroll to Plaza del Sol or the Plaza Mayor. While centrally located for many of the tourist hot spots of Madrid, the hotel is quiet and feels a bit tucked away. The hotel has a nice café on the ground level with outside seating where you can watch the flow of people walking through the Plaza de Isabel II. In the evening, it's restaurant puts on a fabulous dinner show.

This is a very central and convenient hotel especially if you are using public transport. It is only a 2 minute walk from the Opera metro station. The room was clean and well equipped and very comfortable. I must single out the front desk staff member, Fernando. He checked us in on our arrival and he was excellent, very friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful. He explained everything very well and gave us such good information with regards to getting around the city. He is an asset to this hotel.

This hotel has a very nice atmosphere! Perfect also for travelling alone. Apart from the great location and nice restaurant, I really appreciated the friendly staff, giving excellent service during the whole stay. At my arrival I was given a tram card that another guest had just handed in, since they had not had time to use it fully and on the day of my departure, the reception made an extra effort to let me have a late check out. All in all, a great stay and I would happily come back.
